                    what is hrc fuse and how it work


~ HRC fuse is high rupturing capacity fuse , that is totally enclosed fuse 

~ HRC fuse are use to industry for protection purpose

~ When the rated current passes through the  wire, its temperature does not reach the melting point. 

~ The following tensile B is formed when a defect occurs:

 1. The silver element melts due to the fault current.  

 2. A chemical reaction takes place between silver vapor and the filling powder.  The resulting powder becomes a high resistance substance.

 3. The resulting arc is dried.


~  Quartz sand is used as a filler material.

~  Because it can absorb heat very quickly, and it produces less gas. 

~ The heat of the fuse arc converts the quartz sand into glass lead which prevents the arc from striking again, as an insulation barrier is created between the two electrodes.
