Difference between directional power relay and        Directional over current relay

~ There are both directional power relays and directional power relays.

~   But there is a difference between the two.

~ Directional power relay or reverse power relay has only one element of induction relay and is                 energized from one foil voltage source and from another coil current source,

~  this relay operates when the direction of power flow is opposite.

~   Not based on the cost of reverse power.

~   While a directional over current relay has two elements.

~   Two conditions must be created for this relay to operate.

~   First, the value of the current in the reverse direction should exceed the set value.

~     This relay cannot be operated if the direction of current is not reversed and only its value                         increases.

~     Also, if only the direction of current is reversed and the value of current does not increase, it                 cannot be operated.
