Electromagnetic potential transformer

~ In this type the primary and secondary welding are wrapped on a magnetic core

~ I.e. the structure is the same as that of a normal transformer.

~ These have a core type or roll type composition.

~ Shell type is used for low voltage transformers.

~ Hot rolled stamping is of T, U, E, 1 or L types.

~ Particular care is taken to reduce air gap during core assembly, so as to reduce repellents.

~ Primary and secondary windings are coaxial to reduce leakage reactions.

~ The low voltage winding is immediately wrapped around the core and the high voltage winding is wrapped around it, thus reducing the difficulty of insulation.

~ The primary winding in a low voltage transformer consists of a single coil.

~ But in a high voltage transformer.

~The primary weaving is divided into some short coils and joined in series, so the insulation between the layers of coils should be less.

~ Cotton tape and varnished cambric are used as insulation for the coil.

~ Hard fiber is used as insulation between the coils, work type transformers up to 31 kV voltage are used, while oil emerging transformers are used for voltages above that.

~ Although a cast resin type transformer up to 66 KV is used, Figure 1.28 shows the design of such a three phase transformer.

~ If the secondary winding of the potential transformer is short circuited, the entire transformer may be damaged, so high voltage is kept on the side.

~ Queues are also held in secondary widening, cafed connection: high.
