*INDUCTION CUP RELAY*

~ This type of relay has laminated core.

~ there are two or four poles.

~ the design are four pole relay.

~ the winding on the pole are exited by alternating currents.

~ an aluminum cup that can move freely around this core is kept.

~ the spindle is supported on a flame bearing by placing the cup on the spindle.

~ contact is mad with cup.

~ there is spiral shaped spring which is attached to the spindle.

~ the spring gives the controlling torque.

~ Alternating flux is generated when alternating current is passed through winding

~ produced due to the interaction of flux from one pole and ad current from the other pole.

~ the cup deflates and the contact close.
